Scream Orgy

Worse and Worse

Worse and Worse

Date Arrested/Came to Light: Allegations exploded in late March 2025 when parents came forward; Fortenberry was arrested on April 3, 2025.

Summary of Crimes: Brittany Fortenberry, 31, a former Morgan County teacher, is accused of systematically drugging and sexually abusing middle school boys, some as young as 13 by hosting masked group encounters dubbed the “Scream Orgy.”

Court records reveal that after molesting her son, she told him that once he turned 15, she would resume the abuse, an admission investigators say amounts to incestuous intent.
Victims describe being incapacitated with pills or alcohol, forced into sexual acts while wearing Ghostface masks, and manipulated into silence by the thrill of anonymity.
Sentencing / Trial Status: Fortenberry faces an expanding indictment that includes ten counts of child molestation, eight counts of disseminating harmful material to minors, five counts of contributing to a minor’s delinquency, one count of incest, and multiple counts of sexual misconduct with a minor. A Department of Child Services probe prompted new victims to come forward, leading to an increased $150,000 surety bond plus $10,000 cash. She remains jailed awaiting preliminary hearings slated for late 2025.

Conclusion: Fortenberry’s descent into predation leaves more questions than answers.
What occurred in her past that eroded boundaries and normalized such conduct? Once her legal proceedings conclude, I plan to reach out to her, as I have with other convicted offenders to explore the experiences and influences that shaped her behavior

Mayor’s Daughter & Sheriff’s Wife

Date Arrested/Came to Light: Formal charges filed April 12, 2023; bound over for trial October 12, 2023; conviction October 2024

Summary of Crimes: Hancock first initiated the abuse by responding to a student’s social-media post, messaging him, “Are we sending half-naked pictures to each other now?” From there, she used texts and private DMs to solicit nude photos and sexual communication with the 15-year-old. Investigators also uncovered on-campus make out sessions, revealing a sustained pattern of digital grooming.

Sentencing / Trial Status: In December 2024, a Lincoln County jury convicted Hancock on two counts of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology. On December 30, 2024, Judge Sheila Kirk sentenced her to three years in the Department of Corrections on each count, to run consecutively. Count 1 carries three years behind bars plus court costs and fees; Count 2 carries three years suspended except for one year served, plus identical financial penalties. With compliance and good behavior, she faces a total of four years incarcerated, mandatory registration as a sex offender, and she has filed an appeal.

Conclusion: She leveraged her social collateral as a prominent figure in a small community as part of her modus operandi to move unsuspected within a rural backdrop. In rural cases, this is a common theme: social standing within the community protects the predator.

Biology Instructor’s Forbidden Liaison

Worse and Worse

Date Arrested/Came to Light: November 29, 2023

Summary of Crimes: Gabriela Neufeld, a 27-year-old biology teacher at South Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, engaged in sexual activity with an 18-year-old student. His mother tracked his location via a family-locator app, intercepted them in a car at Park Road Park, and photographed their encounter. Investigators determined that Neufeld and the student had met multiple times for sexual encounters at the park, at Neufeld’s home, and at the student’s residence between October and November 2023.

Sentencing / Trial Status: On November 15, 2024, Neufeld pleaded guilty to one crime against nature. Under her plea agreement, she faces up to 17 months in prison followed by 36 months of probation and was ordered to surrender her teaching license.

The Twisted Queen of Female Predation

Date Arrested/Came to Light: February 1997
Summary of Crimes: Mary Kay Letourneau, a 34-year-old elementary school teacher in Burien, Washington, groomed andengaged in a sexual relationship with her 12-year-old student, Vili Fualaau, beginning in the summer of 1996. The affair produced two children and drew nationwide attention.

Sentencing / Trial Status: In August 1997, Letourneau pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree child rape and received an 89-month sentence suspended in favor of six months in custody, mandatory treatment, and a lifetime no-contact order. After violating that order in February 1998, her original 7½-year prison term was reinstated; she served from 1998 until her release in August 2004.

Conclusion: Ultimately, she manipulated everyone around her until her forbidden fantasy of love became reality in her marriage to Vili—and even after her death, her control over him endured.
